Social Stamping - Rainbows

Hi there, & thanks for joining me today for another week of Social Stamping this week we are using the theme of Rainbows, as they have become the symbol of connectedness during our current time. 

To make my rainbow, I used the Layering Circle Framelits, I placed them on some Whisper white cardstock make individual arches, & then I coloured each one with a Stampin'Blend. I will admit, I had to google the correct colours for a rainbow ;)

with the rainbow theme, & the current "bear hunts" I really wanted to use a bear on my card, but I couldn't find a current bear stamp, so the bunny was my next best option. Once I had the rainbow & the bunny, it just became an easter card, & I needed some eggs for the end of my rainbow, but I didn't have any, so I used the centre oval from Petal Labels Dies (149635)

Social Stamping - Thank you!

Thank You for joining us on this Social Stamping Blog Hop!

I really thought when I was working from home, I would have so much more time, but I was so run down, I could not wake up, & have been trying to let myself recover, so I have not had any extra time at all.

but I really wanted to play with this new set, so when Kelly offered to run a "thank you" Social Stamping blog hop, I needed to join her. Thanks Kelly!

Ornate Garden is an early release set, from our next annual catalogue, & when I first saw it, the papers stood out as something I wasn't sure about. Then I had a closer look, & I loved both sets of dies, & I needed the font stamp set, so I figured I would just get the entire suite.

When it arrived, the main side of the papers still didn't jump out at me, I didnt dislike them, but they are very different to what I would normally use.

However.... there were 4 pages that I was INSTANTLY in love with.
they all had gold foil imaging, & so I knew I needed to start with them

But then I needed to choose from all the amazing dies that the set came with, all these edges, how does one choose?

Well I decided that since the paper was so elegant, all it needed was simple, & this was the result. 

but then I decided I actually DID like the other side, & changed it up a bit for a more colourful version, & I quite liked that too!

Social Stamping, Hello!

Hello!

I hope you are coping with the current life  changing events in our world, & I hope crafting is keeping you sane...

A group of Stamping Friends have all put together a blog post, for a Social Stamping Blog Hop, 

I have decided I wanted to play with one of the techniques I prepared for my recent technique camps, which used our Pigment Sprinkles (149663)

With this technique, the Sprinkles give both a watercolour effect AND a sprinkle effect to the side, & you achieve this by sprinkling the sprinkles onto the image only, but "spritzing" the image on an angle, so the sprinkles land on the dry side of the card.

I thought I wanted to use a stamp set from the current mini, so I started with Positive Thoughts (151490) but the stamp didn't quite give me the effects I wanted.

You can certainly see the "sprinkles" but I wasn't excited by the watercolour on these flowers.

Next I tried using Honey Bee (151527) with a completely different layout, but again, the flowers weren't really giving me the effect I wanted.

Finally I thought you could have a sneak peak of a new set called Ornate Style, & finally I got the effect I wanted, but the photo doesn't do it justice!

I have use the Granny Apple Green & Gorgeous Grape Pigment sprinkles, & I just LOVE it!

After I had finished, I used some wipes to clean my hands, & my hands looked clean. Then I used some hand sanitizer... Lets just say, I can confirm, I do cover my hands really well with sanitizer, because I suddenly looked like I had pink & purple gloves.
